CASCON
When naval ships are at a repair depot or being retrofitted, temporary alarm systems are often required. The Casualty Control System (CASCON) serves as a temporary, expandable, and re-deployable emergency reporting and communication system. CASCON is now mandated for both submarines and surface vessels under the NAVSEA 8010 Standard. This mandate applies when the ship’s life-safety systems or the announcing system (1MC) are compromised. HASDAN
