EST/GE
The
Edwards Systems Technology (EST) family of fire alarm products
is a new member of GE Security. R.B. Allen has been selling
EST for 15 years. EST provides comprehensive industry support
services including training and technician support nationwide.
Since 1872, the Edwards pull station has been used from homes
to businesses. Today, EST provides its customers and distributors
with panels for large to small projects. EST3 panels are designed
for medium to the largest projects with available peer-to-peer
networking and voice evacuation. EST2, LSS4, and Quickstart
would suite the purpose of small to medium size jobs. EST2
is usable networked or with voice evacuation. For smaller
jobs, EST1 and Fireshield are often used, both conventional
systems.
EST
is responsible for pioneering such innovations as multi-sensor
technology, multiplex audio, and peer-to-peer networking.
The continued development of innovative technology in the
fire alarm and security industry is indicative of EST's commitment
to those industries. Since GE Security's acquisition of EST,
their focus remains on fire communications, sensor technology,
and signaling innovation.
R.B.
Allen has proudly received the EST Strategic Partner of the
Year award in 2003. In 1998, 1999, 2002 and 2003, R.B. Allen
was given the Recognition of Excellence award for exceeding
our performance goals. R.B Allen continues to strive for more
distinction in our future with EST/GE Security.

ZETRON
Public
Safety Dispatch Centers can dispatch a piece of fire fighting
equipment or ambulance, an entire station, or multiple stations
from the push of a few buttons. This is one of the applications
Zetron offers.
Zetron's Fire Station Alerting System allows a single communication
center to efficiently respond to emergencies by managing the
assets of multiple fire stations. This is found in the Model
6/26 Fire Station Alerting System.
The
Model 26 status/control panel provides centralized control
of remote fire stations. Up to 240 user-defined buttons with
LED status indicators allows the operator to select targeted
fire stations, send alerts, and control auxiliary equipment.
Changes in the status of personnel and vehicles are reflected
on the Model 6 and Model 26 status indicators. Visual indications
help the operator select which stations should respond, as
well as determine which vehicles are available, which have
already been dispatched, which are out of service, and so
forth.

R.B.
Allen's supply of IMSA Signal and Communication Cable comes
directly from Clifford of Vermont. Since 1896, the International
Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) has been involved with
public safety communications and signaling. The development
of a series of electrical cable and wire specifications is
one of the many services provided by IMSA. These specifications
assure specifying engineers, purchasers and users that they
are receiving quality cable and wire that will perform reliably
within the application scope of each specification.
The
cable constructions offer maximum resistance to moisture and
weathering. They are primarily designed for outside installations,
including aerial, underground duct, and direct earth burial.
They are also excellent options for industrial and other users
when selecting control and communications cables for outside
installations.
